Tevez Reveals He Would Consider Australian League

Former Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has revealed that he would consider playing in the Australian A-League once he decides to leave Juventus. The striker moved to Juventus last summer for £ 10 million. He was widely expected to help them progress in the Champions League after two successive league titles. However, the club were knocked out of the last season’s Champions League at the group stages. Even though they won the league title, it was seen as a disappointing season. Tevez’ future at the club has become subject to speculation after the departure of Antonio Conte.
As the manager, Conte was responsible for bringing Tevez to the club. He recently became the national team manager of Italy, which has prompted event is to bring in former Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri. It remains to be seen if Tevez will be once again considered as a key part of the team by the new management. Juventus players are no strangers to playing in the Australian A-League, which has been growing in stature over the last few years. Juventus legend Alessandro del Piero is probably the most high-profile Italian to play in the A-League.
Tevez has hinted that he may follow in the footsteps of the former striker. The Argentine will have no shortage of interest since he is regarded as one of top players in the world. "Carlos' answer was that he definitely would consider doing something like Alessandro and possibly retire here,” said a translator when Tevez was put forward the question of playing in the A-League. "I remember last year it was not an easy game. It is definitely going to be a tougher game than the game we played in Jakarta and also because the Australian players are getting better. We are a strong side, we have some great champions in this team," Evra said ahead of the friendly matches.
