TOTTI RULED OUT

Francesco Totti is set to miss a few Serie A games as he discovered a hamstring injury while featuring for his side Roma in the game against Napoli on Friday. However, despite his absence in most parts of that game, Roma managed to secure a 2-0 win and maintained its first position in the Serie A points table.

Totti left the field around the 30th minute in the game against Napoli after feeling pain. When the game got over, he went to the hospital for a few tests and the reports of those tests made it clear that his hamstring was injured.

Totti is expected to be unavailable for the next 4 games, but, he should recover for the match against Cagliari which will be played at Stadio Olimpico on 25th of November. Roma are odds on to win that match according to Unibet, the betsports specialists.

Talking to the reporters on Saturday about the game against Napoli, Totti said, “Yesterday night was fantastic for us. We got better of Napoli which is a very strong side and one of the top contenders for the league title.”

“I left the game in the middle and I want to say sorry to the fans for that, but, I was feeling unbearable pain and it was just not possible for me to continue.”

The club also released a statement earlier today about the injury of Totti. That statement says, “Francesco Totti went for some tests and it was found out that his hamstring was injured. The medical team will be assessing the fitness of the captain in a few days.”

Totti is a legend at Roma. Nobody has played more games than him for the club. The 37 years old attacking midfielder has made close to 700 appearances for La Maggica and has found the back of the net 285 times.
