NOBLE DESERVES STATUS AT WEST HAM

Veteran West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble deserves a statue at the East London club for what he has done according to Carlos Tevez. Ex-West Ham striker Carlos Tevez talked about club skipper Noble in a chat with the official West Ham United website as he said that the Englishman would be difficult to replace at the club in terms of his character and leadership qualities.

Carlos Tevez spent one season at West Ham United on the back of his controversial transfer from Brazilian side Corinthians in 2006. He was instrumental to the Hammers as they survived the relegation zone on the final day of the season with the Argentine international getting the crucial goal that confirmed Premier League safety. Tevez scored the winner as West Ham United sealed Premier League safety via a 1-0 away win over newly crowned champions Manchester United.

West Ham United welcomed Carlos Tevez back to the club during the recent home game with Burnley in the Premier League. He was welcomed back by the West Ham fans after several years. He was in attendance as Czech midfielder Tomas Soucek scored in the second half to cancel out the opening goal from Dutch striker WoutWeghorst. Burnley were the guests of West Ham United a few days after they sealed qualification for the Europa League semifinals via a 4-1 aggregate win over French team Lyon. The Hammers thrashed Lyon 3-0 away from home to seal a place in the last four. West Ham are hoping to secure Champions League football next season by winning the Europa League this season.

Noble has confirmed that he will end his career at the end of the season and the Englishman is hoping that he can finish it on a high by lifting the Europa League trophy next month.
